New Teachers Arriving
This school year has been a very eventful year so far, such as having teachers from last year retiring and meeting new teachers this school year. Two of the new teachers that I have are Mrs. Richardson and Mr. Rheums. Mrs Richardson took Mrs. Tracy’s spot as the science teacher and Mr. Rheums took Mr. Falling’s spot as the technology and woodshop teacher. I have Mrs. Richardson for science and she is doing a really good job teaching here! She also is making sure we all understand the assignments and making sure we still have fun in class even when we work. I have Mr. Rheums for technology this year along with Mrs. Hill who was already working here. I think Mr. Rheums is doing a great job so far also, because he is making sure we all know how to work the machines in the wood shop and making sure we are safe while doing it. Another thing about Mr. Rheums making sure we are safe is we take a safety quiz and if we get something wrong he lets us retake the test until we completely know all the rules and how to be safe when working a machine.
Those are the 2 new teachers that I have, but we have more teachers that have come that I don’t have. For example, we have a new 7th grade Reading and Language Arts teacher and her name is Mrs. Bishop and I know her just a little bit when I had her doing weights this summer. Another new teacher is Mrs. Krei. She teaches 6th grade Reading and Language Arts and I don’t really know her that well since I don’t have her in class. Also, Mrs Scantlin who taught choir and band went down to the Elementary, so we have a new teacher working in music named Mrs. Coonrod.
Those are a lot of new teachers that are in our middle school this year, but I also get to know another teacher who has been working in the high school for awhile now. I have Mrs. Sellars for Algebra and even though she isn’t really a new teacher this year, she is a new teacher for me. So like I said before, this school year has been very eventful for the students getting to know all the new teachers this school year. Since I am going into high school next year, I bet that will be another eventful year for me as I get to know all my new teachers again. In conclusion, I hope everyone has a great school year meeting all of your new teachers.
