I am part of a Veteran family, from my Grandpa down to my oldest brother. This is why I am very thankful for the Veterans that serve in the military now and in the past. I am a very thankful man for the freedoms that I have been given. I could never fully appreciate the gift that has been given to me, something so generous, and so awesome. My brother was deployed to Afghanistan and we went 9 months without seeing him. We sent letters, and sometimes got to video chat. Although laggy, and rare, those special moments were what made our day.
However, you see while the people are thinking about the Veterans, (which don’t take my words incorrectly. I understand, and also very much so think about the Veterans) but the families take their loved one’s service very hard. With each and every passing day, you never know what will happen to the people in service. There is much depression for the veteran and the family, the mother, the father, the son, and daughter as they are apart. Also, when their deployed, thoughts haunt you for as long as they’re deployed, “Will they be able to take the pressure?” Not too long ago, a person of higher power was found dead, although never released what happened, it was most likely a suicide from PTSD after their service.
Just think about the people that serve in the military, and the Veterans, and their family, and the everlasting pain that comes to people who sacrificed their own lives for ours. I just can't get over the amazing days we get to have. We aren't slaves to a king, we can do what we want, when we want with very little limitations. And to that I say thank you to the Veterans that served, and who are still currently serving. To you and your families I give thanks.
